What is Normal?

Posted by on Nov 24, 2013 in Blog |

Even as a small child I wondered who had the authority to say they had the true definition of “normal”. And if you knew the true definition, what would it take to mold yourself into “normal”? Would you want to be “normal”? Celebrate, honor and respect your unique greatness gifts and those of others. Your suffering will cease when you stop trying to be like everyone else or attempting to be what another thinks you should be to appease their insecurities. You will shine when you recognize, accept and share your greatness. For more information about the Share Your Greatness Challenge, visit: www.ShareYourGreatness.com … Will you accept the...

Lightworkers

Posted by on Oct 1, 2013 in Blog |

During my exercise routine this morning my brain and heart started firing on all cylinders, and I began to wonder about all of you who frequent my blog and social media websites. So I have a few questions for all Lightworkers here, and I’ll post one question per day to keep it simple and focused. The objective is to learn about each other and unite for the greater good. Many of you in my online communities (Facebook, Google+, Twitter and LinkedIn) are Lightworkers with BIG servant hearts. Your mission here was evident to you quickly in life. That mission is to serve others and lift them up in your own unique way with kindness and grace. You each chose a specific path and although that path may be different in some ways, your reason for choosing it is similar. So my first question is … What path did you choose? What do you do as a career, volunteer, etc that contributes to the collective greater good of helping others BE and Create the highest version of themselves? Example … Here’s mine: health coach, business coach (train health coaches), spiritual coach, personal development/spirituality author. Please keep it brief. Your turn … SHARE this post with your friends who are also Lightworkers. We need more people with kindness and love in their heart within our little community...

Life is Short: Designing Your Life

Posted by on Apr 6, 2013 in Blog |

Every day I like to think that I do my best to I live my life as if it were my last. It’s not that I dwell in the realm of death. Not at all. I am keenly aware that this process we call life is incredibly short and to get the fullest experience from it, living in the moment is key. Life as a human can also end at any time. At the end of the day, I ask myself, “Did I play the game of life fully today? How often was I in the space of joy? Who did I lift up into that same space?” May I tell you a story as to why I live my life this way? My father was an entrepreneur at heart. He loved coming up with ideas and putting them into action. Over his lifetime he had multiple businesses and he was good at it, but he never quite made the income that he had set as a goal. One day in 1987 he made what he considered to be the ultimate fortune – at last! He had bought a small home and was renovating it into a rental property. A major grocery store chain that was coming into the area wanted to buy the property from him. He was elated. At last he’d made his fortune even though it didn’t look like what he had originally intended! Two weeks after he received what he considered to be the “big check”, he died in the arms of my little sister of a massive hemorrhage due to cancer. Because I know (and therefore teach others) that each person who comes into our lives is our teacher and our student at the same time, I learned so much from my father. His death was a lesson and in a sense a gift for me to make changes in my own life. I too am an entrepreneur at heart. I enjoy the thrill of creating successful businesses and helping others create successful businesses too. When we do what we love, the income naturally shows up – when we are open to seeing beyond the obvious. I’ve also learned that balancing work and play is important too. What do I mean? My father first taught me that doing what you love is essential to your happiness. But balancing that with joy, fun and relationships with people outside of my business successes was critical too. He also taught me that it was important for me to be aware that things show up for us all the time. The question is, are we open to seeing it when it happens? It may not show up looking...

Film: People vs. The State of Illusion

Posted by on Jan 27, 2013 in Reviews |

Date night last night with my husband took us to a local showing of a documentary film, “People vs. The State of Illusion” which at the end included a Q&A with the film producer, Austin Vickers. Attending live documentary film presentations with the writers and producers present is something we are passionate about and we’ve seen many. This is especially true, since we are members of the Sedona International Film Festival. However, this film took our hearts quickly, and we would rank it in the top five. Run! Don’t walk to the showing of this film nearest you. Or better yet, buy it on DVD for $29.95 at the website, www.thestateofillusion.com. It will be one of the best gifts you can give yourself mentally and spiritually this year, and you will want to watch it more than once. It is loaded with metaphors and the story line can apply to anything that you “think” is holding you back, which as you might have guessed is an illusion. Austin Vickers has creatively captured the essence in a compelling, edge-of-seat dramatization sprinkled with numerous life metaphors that applies to ANY belief that does not serve us and could possibly show you some your didn’t know existed. Of course, it will all depend on whether you choose to look at them. The film also includes appearances by Dr. Thomas Moore, Dr. Candace Pert, Debbie Ford, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Dr. Robert Jahn, Dr. Peter Senge, Brenda Dunne, and Dr. Michael Vandermark. Here is the trailer from YouTube: The film educates, entertains and empowers the audience. If you are able to go to a live viewing where Austin is present for a Q&A, do not hesitate.  “Stress is the consequence of perception.” –Austin Vickers The essence of the film matches the essence of my new book series, “BEing Spiritually Intelligent” which are BEing written to introduce spirituality into personal development. Personal development is more accepted now than ever before which wasn’t always the case. However, the next step is to go deeper into spiritual development. Volume I of the series, “The Missing Link Between Who You are and Who You Were Meant to BE” will be available May 1, 2013. Pre-ordering will be available soon through Amazon....

Making Other People Wrong

Posted by on Jan 24, 2013 in Blog | 3 comments

When we attempt to make someone “wrong”, it is never about the other person. What we see in other people is a reflection of who we are at that moment. Let go and know that we are each as unique as our fingerprints and DNA. Everyone is doing the best they can on the path they are choosing, and what works for one will not work the same for anyone. When we attempt to make someone wrong, we are trying to control them to make ourselves feel better. Why? Because we lack trust and confidence in ourselves at that moment. I tell you, the satisfaction we feed our EGOs by making someone wrong “in our own minds” will always be temporary. Until we make someone ‘wrong’ again. It’s an addictive, dysfunctional and unfortunately, socially acceptable behavior that we can choose to break free of at any time. We are creating our reality at every moment. No one’s reality is the same. Respect ALL people regardless of who they are. Those people who push our buttons are our teachers in that moment. They give us the opportunity to see our own reflection and make small changes to be the highest version of ourselves. Namaste. Want to sign up for my newsletter?...
